About Vapor Honing

What Is Vapor Honing?

We’ll start with the basics. Vapor honing is a process that refinishes, cleans, and restores surfaces. Vapor honing can return most metal objects to look as they did when they were manufactured.

How Is It Done?

Vapor honing works by blasting the object with a combination of a semi-rough cleaning media, detergents, water, and air. It is a great way to get metal objects, including brass and steel, shiny and looking as good as brand new.
In some cases, it may be appropriate for plastic, rubber, or other hard surface materials.

At C&C Hone Blasting, we ensure that all materials are cleaned after 40 uses. This helps us to ensure that your part comes back looking shiny and like silver, versus other companies that leave them with a dull gray finish. The materials used in our shop are chosen carefully to ensure that the natural material of the part is retained and
not torn apart.

My policy is, if I am not satisfied with the piece or would be happy with it being in something I own, it doesn’t leave my shop until I know the part is as good as new.
